Day 20: You know that people they are driftin' from do' to do' but they can't find no heaven; I don't care where they go

Today's story is brought to you by the cellphone. Research began in 1843 (1843!) and in 1988, cellphones almost existed. The technology would go on to explode into regulations and glory in the following years. Blamed for causing cancer, diminishing bee populations, most car accidents (if liquor is not involved first), and this generation's short attention spans, the cellphone has enabled humanity to ignore reality at previously unimagined levels. It also helped me talk to ten people flung across Oregon and Washington and get THIS STORY ABOUT CANCER. It allowed me to call these same people back multiple times to double-check facts or ask new questions based in new information. Thanks to the cell phone, I could interrupt them in the middle of the kitchen, the work place, the loo, and the farm.
