Today was spent out in the wilderness, hunting for elk pellets. Poop! And there was mud and it was gorgeous outside. Life does not become better.
Here are some photos from today. Story comes Friday.
This cheerful, contented looking person works at Lewis&ClarkNat'lPark. She is holding an elk pellet and crumbling it in her fingers to determine how fresh it is. She gives it a level 2: slightly minty.
POO!!!!!
The muddy path of the might beast. Elk trax. Shortly afterward, all was mud but not as bad as in the past, I was told.
"They are all............per......fect....." (dies)
("The Last Samurai" was a dumb movie, but how could anyone ever hate Ken Watanabe especially when he's a samurai -- all poetical, just, brutal and dangerous, the last tragic warrior of a dying age?)
Basically: cherry blossomings. The smell, I don't even know what it reminds me of. Childhood and spring in Portland and Aloha and with those associations come more. Things indescribable because they are a weird blend of memory, senses and emotions all warped and wrapped together.
Storm ravages alas.

So there you go. My day.
